Jordan Markwood was selected as the Director of the Shenandoah Valley Chorus of Sweet Adelines in October, 2007.

A Winchester resident, Jordan received his Bachelors of Music in Music Education from Houghton College, New York in 2005, and a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, Princeton, NJ in 2007.

Jordan is currently a Music Teacher of Middle School Students in Loudoun County, VA.

While new to Barbershop style singing, Jordan brings enthusiasm, a great “ear”, new ideas and effective guidance to our group.

Becky Lilly has been a member of the Sweet Adelines since 1980 when she started singing with the Manassas chorus, where she served in many of the offices and committees. Music has always been a part of her life. She sang on the radio as a child, studied piano and organ for 12 years and sang in choruses and choirs. Becky retired as a budget analysist for the Federal Government in 1999 and lives in Front Royal with her husband Nyle. They are parents to a
son, a daughter, 4 cats and 2 dogs.

Becky joined the Shenandoah Valley Chorus in 1990. When the current director quit in 1998, Becky graciously agreed to serve as Director and held that position until summer of 2007 when she split the directorship so that she could do more singing, serving as a Co-Director until our new director was selected.
